Brake System Inspection
Do your brakes feel ‘off’ when you’re driving? To keep your vehicle running safely, making sure you are coming to a complete stop when you need to is of absolute importance. Our mechanics will complete a full inspection of your brakes to make sure everything is operating as it should.

Brake Replacement
Is your car squeaking and squealing when hitting the brakes? It might be time to replace your brake pads. Being able to slow and stop when you need to makes all the difference during your morning commute. Our mechanics will inspect every aspect of your vehicle’s brake system (brake pads, rotors, master cylinder, wheel cylinder, ABS, hoses, drums, shoes, and proportioning valve) to determine what needs to be replaced.

Brake Fluid Change
If your brake pedal ever feels ‘spongy’ when you press on it, it could mean that your brake fluid is contaminated. It’s recommended to change your brake fluid every two years to prevent brake fade and failure. Moisture from the air is absorbed by brake fluid, which can lead to contamination, causing wear on the components of your braking system. Our technicians will determine if a brake fluid change is necessary during our inspection.

TIPS
- Most brake pads need to be changed every 50,000 miles, although some need changing every 25,000 miles, or 75,000 miles. Always be sure to keep track of manufacturer recommendations.
- Early warning signs of brake failure tend to be quickly noticeable. Squeaking and squealing brakes are crying out to be changed, while grinding and growling brakes mean you shouldn't drive at all until they are replaced.
- Consider getting a Brake Fluid Change every two years, and every time you notice the brake pedal becoming 'spongy' when pressed.
*The mechanics of Archie’s Brake & Quick Lube are committed to treating your vehicle like family, which is why all maintenance schedules and service intervals will follow Manufacturer’s Recommendations, where applicable.
