Brake System Inspection

Why is it important?

While the importance of replacing brake pads can appear obvious, when to get the work done can be confusing. Doing it too soon may not be necessary, and too late can be dangerous. If not done at the appropriate time, damage can be done to the calipers, leading to costly repairs. Rotors can warp and crack, as well.

What we inspect

Archie’s technicians will perform a complete visual inspection of your vehicle’s brake system, including the fuel lines, hoses, calipers, wheel cylinders, and the condition of all brake components.

When should you get a Brake system inspection?

Symptoms of a failing brake system aren’t always as obvious as a constant squealing following you down the road. Your brake pedal can feel spongy when pressed, or even hard to push. In order to prevent these issues from occurring, make sure to get your tires rotated every six months, as that is the perfect time to also get a brake inspection.

*The mechanics of Archie’s Brake & Quick Lube are committed to treating your vehicle like family, which is why all maintenance schedules and service intervals will follow Manufacturer’s Recommendations, where applicable.
