TUNE-UPS / Preventative & Scheduled Maintenance

Why is it important?

Routine tune-ups can prevent car breakdown on the road. They can also improve performance and fuel economy.

A tune-up may include any of the following:

  • Replacing spark plugs
  • Replacing spark plug wires
  • Replacing air filters
  • Replacing oxygen sensor
  • Inspecting distributor cap
    and many more…

What we inspect

Inspecting most of your vehicle engine parts can be done with a simple visual inspection or test, which consist of checking engine parts that need cleaning or replacing, such as distributor caps, rotors, belts and hoses, spark plugs, filters, and many more engine components.

When should you get tune-ups/preventative & scheduled maintenance?

If you notice drastic changes in how much fuel you’re going through, it could be the result of a dirty air filter. A stalled car can also be a sign, just as well as acceleration causing a ‘rough ride’. The frequency of a routine tune-up is largely determined on the frequency you use your vehicle, how far you drive, as well as other factors which can influence whether it’s necessary every 25 000 miles or 100 000 miles.
