Transmission Filter
Why is it important?
The transmission filter keeps dust and debris out of your transmission fluid. If this filter is dirty and contaminants get into your transmission, it can lead to costly repairs.
What we inspect
Our technicians will complete a thorough visual inspection of your transmission filter, and in accordance with your vehicle’s manufacturer recommendations, provide to you this information as to whether it should be replaced or not.
When should you Replace a Transmission Filter?
If you hear clunking or rattling while your vehicle’s transmission shifts gears, it may be worthwhile to have our technicians take a look at your filters. Most manufacturers recommend changing a transmission filter every two years, or every 20 000 miles, but that can vary based on driving conditions.
*The mechanics of Archie’s Brake & Quick Lube are committed to treating your vehicle like family, which is why all maintenance schedules and service intervals will follow Manufacturer’s Recommendations, where applicable.
